MIA sends appeal of relatives of missing resident of Stavropol for check to the ICRF
The whereabouts of Jamal Makhmudov, a resident of Stavropol, who disappeared on December 8, is still unknown. According to unconfirmed information of his relatives, he may be kept at the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of the Stavropol Territory. However, the MIA did not confirm this information, while his relatives’ application about the kidnapping was sent for check to the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Jamal Makhmudov, a native of Dagestan, disappeared in Stavropol after a search of his house. He became a figurant in the case of recruitment and financing the militants sent to Syria, his relatives were told at the Centre to Combat Extremism (CCE).
According to Malika Makhmudova, Jamal’s wife, "no action has been taken" in relation to the relatives’ application submitted to law enforcement bodies.
According to the notification of the Stavropol Department of the MIA, the materials relating the check the crime within the respective jurisdiction were sent to the ICRF on December 22, 2014.
