Azerbaijan announced 86 shelling episodes of its positions in Karabakh conflict zone
During January 1, the Armenian party violated the ceasefire for 86 times, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated today. According to the Ministry, the fire was delivered at positions in two districts of Azerbaijan.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 1, Azerbaijan accused the Armenian party of 20 acts of shelling its territory. In their turn, the authorities of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), said that, in general, the situation on the contact line of the troops on the New Year night was calm, despite several ceasefire violations.
The MoD of Azerbaijan said that yesterday the positions in the Tovuz and Gazakh Districts of the country were shelled, the APA reports.
In response to the shots, Azerbaijani units opened returned fire, the “Trend” reports with reference to the MoD of Azerbaijan.
