Azerbaijani MoD accuses Armenian military forces of shelling frontline villages
The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has reported that the Armenian armed forces have shelled the positions of the Azerbaijani Army and villages located along the frontline in the Karabakh conflict zone.
"On January 3, units of the Armed Forces of Armenia used large-calibre weapons, anti-tank rocket launchers, 60 and 82 mm mortars and subjected to intense fire the positions of the Azerbaijani armed forces and frontline villages," states the today's report released by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence.
In response to the shelling of villages and civilians, the Azerbaijani side will take "appropriate and strong measures, using all the military resources, and that will cause more severe and devastating losses on the part of the Armed Forces of Armenia, and the responsibility will rest with the Armenian leaders," stated the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence.
According to another report made by the Azerbaijani MoD released this morning, during the past day, the Armenian military forces violated the ceasefire 64 times.
Today, in its turn, the Ministry of Defence of Nagorno-Karabakh has accused Azerbaijan of 300 attacks during the day and stated that "the Armenian advanced units provided adequate resistance and kept constant control over operational and tactical situation."
