David Basharuli, a 19-year-old citizen of Georgia, who disappeared six months ago in the Leningor District of South Ossetia, was found dead. Local residents found his body hanging in a wooded area.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 21, the problem of persons disappeared in the conflict zone, including David Basharuli, was discussed by representatives of Georgia and South Ossetia at the meeting held in Ergneti in the format of Mechanisms for Prevention and Reaction to Incidents (MPRI).
On January 4, the David Basharuli's body was found in a wooded area in the territory of the Leningor District of South Ossetia (for Georgia, it is the Akhalgori District).
The young man died long ago; however, his body was only recently moved to the place where it was found: otherwise, the local residents would certainly have noticed it, the "Georgia Online" reports with reference to Nugzar Tinikashvili, the head of the council of the Georgian Akhalgori municipality.
The body of David Basharuli was badly damaged, and he was identified through his hairs: he was an albino like his father and his sister, the "Echo of the Caucasus" reports.
Till present, the "Caucasian Knot" does not have any comments of the South-Ossetian authorities on the information about the discovery of the body of David Basharuli, possible causes of his death, and the progress of the investigation into the disappearance of the young man.
