Two Latvian tourists evacuated from snow-covered mountain pass in Georgia
Employees of the Rescue Service of the Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) have completed evacuation of two Latvian tourists stuck in the Gudauri Ski Resort.
On January 8, around 11:00 a.m., information was received that the above Baltic tourists got stuck in impassable snow in the Gudauri Ski Resort in Georgia. Rescuers went to help them. By the evening on January 8, the tourists were found on the Krestovy (Cross) Pass.
The rescue operation was successfully completed; the tourists from Latvia are in a safe place now, the website of the Georgia's MIA reported on January 8.
