Builders in Sochi state unpaid debts for construction of Olympic facilities
Today, builders of Olympic facilities in Sochi have stated unpaid debts for their work and asked the Russian MP from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) Sergey Obukhov to raise the issue at the State Duma.
The complaints to Sergey Obukhov were sent by former workers of the "Tunnel Unit-44" company.
Builders assert that earlier they sent their appeals to the administration of the Russian president, the police, the Investigating Committee of Russian Federation (ICRF), the Prosecutor's Office and the labour Inspectorate. The appeals demanded to pay attention to the situation with their salary debts.
"Huge taxpayers' funds from the state budget were allocated for the construction of roads and tunnels in Sochi; therefore, the workers who had built the facilities and taxpayers have every right to know what happened to this money," Igor Vasiliev, an assistant of the MP Sergey Obukhov, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
According to Igor Vasiliev, the workers' applications have been sent to the State Duma to raise the issue of wage non-payment "at the highest level."
