Fans of "Anji" ask head of ICRF to take inquiry of Magomedov's murder under control
The murder of the football player Gasan Magomedov has deeply concerned residents of Dagestan, as the fans of the "Anji" FC say in their open letter to the head of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF). They are asking the head of the ICRF to take the investigation into the case under his personal control.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the car of the 20-year-old player of "Anji-2" Gasan Magomedov was shelled by unidentified attackers in the evening on January 3. The murder was committed near the house of Magomedov's parents.
The Magomedov's death has caused a broad resonance, the members of the regional public organization "Club of 'Anji' Fans – Wild Division" say in their open letter to the head of the ICRF Alexander Bastrykin.
"The brutal killing of a young football player without any apparent motives has become for those who live and work in our republic a cause for concern for themselves, their families and their loved ones," says the letter.
The "Anji" fans ask Alexander Bastrykin not only to monitor the investigation into the murder of Magomedov, but also to encourage the upmost possible coverage of its progress and results.
