Number of victims in protest action in Gyumri reaches 12
Twelve people suffered in clashes of protesters with the police in the city of Gyumri, including nine civilians and three policemen. At least seven people were detained.
The action in Gyumri began at the building of the local prosecutor's office; then the protesters marched to the Russian Consulate with a demand to give the Russia regular soldier Valery Permyakov, who is suspected of killing a family of six people in Gyumri, out to the Armenian justice.
The clashes of protesters with the police began after the former were on the way to the Russian Consulate, but the way was blocked by policemen.
The demand of the protesters remains the same – to give the Russian military Valery Permyakov out to Armenian law enforcement bodies.
