Ingushetia: rally "Islam against Terrorism" was 20,000 strong

Over 20,000 people took to the all-Ingushetia rally "Islam against Terrorism", where they protested, in particular, against publication of caricatures on Prophet Muhammad, said a source from the press service of the head of the republic.

According to his story, the rally was addressed by elders, officials and clergymen – the Mufti of Ingushetia Issa Hadji Khamkhoev and Father Andrei, the Beneficiary of the Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin located in the rural settlement Ordzhonikidzevskoe.

The rally "called their fellow-countrymen and Muslims around the world do not allow to get involved in terrorist activities under the guise of protecting the religion" and "not to succumb to the Western policy that allows insulting religious feelings of Muslims all over the world."

The rally in the city of Magas adopted a resolution, which called "not to allow publishing materials, which offend the feelings of believers and lead to incitement of inter-religious and interethnic enmity in the world," says the website of the People's Assembly of Ingushetia.
