Relatives of Sultan Karasov tried to block "Cherkessk-Nevinnomyssk" highway
Relatives of Sultan Karasov, a disappeared resident of the Karachay-Cherkessian Republic (KChR), came out to protest and tried to block the "Cherkessk-Nevinnomyssk" highway. The action was stopped after authorities promised to find his whereabouts.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Sultan Karasov, a 33-year-old resident of the village of Erkin-Hulk disappeared in Stavropol on December 10. One of his relatives said that Karasov could be kidnapped by power agents.
As stated by the protesters, law enforcement bodies refused to provide any data about Karasov's whereabouts. According to one of the organizers of the action, who is Karasov's relative, the action was at least 200 people strong.
However, the police and the authorities of the KChR managed to persuade the people to disperse by promising soon to locate Karasov.
Along with that, after the action, policemen began sticking leaflets in the village of Erkin-Hulk that participation in non-sanctioned actions is illegal and is a criminal offense, said one of Karasov's relatives.
