Russian President promises to punish those responsible for Gyumri tragedy
The inquiry into the murder of a family in Gyumri will be carried out as promptly as possible; and all those guilty will be punished, Russian President Vladimir Putin promised today in his telephone conversation with his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night on January 12 six members of the Avetisyan family were assassinated in Gyumri. A Russian regular soldier Valery Permyakov is arrested as a suspect of committing the massacre.
Putin expressed hope that Russian doctors, jointly with their Armenian colleagues, will render all the necessary expert help to Sergey Avetisyan, a baby and the only surviving family member. According to his story, if necessary, a medical aircraft can be sent to Armenia for bringing the baby to Moscow for continued treatment, says the website of the President of the Russian Federation.
Let us remind you that the only surviving baby Sergey Avetisyan is only six months old; he was hospitalized in grave condition and is being treated in Yerevan.
