NKR's MoD reports death of soldier in conflict zone
According to the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), at night on January 21, Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire regime at the contact line 300 times. As a result of the shelling, one soldier of the NKR's Defence Army was killed, and another soldier was wounded, the NKR's MoD reports.
This morning, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by the press service of the NKR's MoD that during the past day, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces fired more than 3000 shots on the positions of the NKR's Defence Army.
Till present, the Azerbaijani side has not yet commented on the statement of the MoD.
The Karabakh conflict sides regularly accuse each other of violating the ceasefire regime. On January 14, on the contact line between the armed forces of the NKR and Azerbaijan, the OSCE monitoring was suspended because of shelling.
