Teen wounded in Chechnya from policeman's pistol
Law enforcement bodies of Chechnya are investigating the incident with a wound in the head of an 11-year-old boy in the city of Argun. The boy was shot from a pistol belonging to a policeman.
A source from the local Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the incident occurred in the evening on January 22.
"A policeman, who was in Shosseinaya Street in the area of high-rise buildings, gave his service Makarov pistol to a close friend, who fired several shots. One of the bullets hit the head of a teenager who was on the balcony of his apartment," said the MIA source.
The boy was taken to the Argun city hospital; there is no information about his health condition.
A service check has been initiated at the MIA in the context of the incident. Ministry bosses do not rule out that the policeman, who gave his service pistol to another person, may be prosecuted and dismissed from law enforcement bodies.
