MoDs of Armenia and Azerbaijan report shelling of their position in conflict zone

According to the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan, within the last 24 hours, Armenian armed forces violated the ceasefire for 126 times. The Armenian party has announced 300 cases of shelling of its positions in the conflict zone.

As stated by the press service of the MoD of Azerbaijan, violations of the ceasefire in different directions of the contact line of Azerbaijani and Armenian troops were committed with the use of heavy machine guns, mortars and grenade launchers.

The fire was delivered at the Azerbaijani positions located on nameless heights and in the villages of the Gazakh, Tovuz and Gadabay Districts; the fire in response was opened, the "Trend" News Agency reports referring to the Azerbaijani MoD.

In its turn, the press service of the MoD of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) reports that in total more than 4500 shots were fired by the Azerbaijani party.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the parties in conflict are regularly accusing each other of violating the ceasefire, which results in human losses. On January 26, the Azerbaijani MoD reported the death of three soldiers; and on January 23, the Armenian party reported deaths of its two soldiers in the conflict zone.
