Armenian investigators check version of Permyakov's accomplices
As reported by the Police of Armenia, Armenian investigators are examining the version that Valery Permyakov, a Russian military, accused of massacring the Avetisyan family in Gyumri, could have accomplices.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night on January 12 in Gyumri, six members of the Avetisyan family were killed. According to the Investigating Committee (IC) of Armenia, Permyakov has pled guilty of the murder.
"Investigators are considering the version that the Russian soldier Valery Permyakov acted not alone," the "Interfax-Azerbaijan" quotes Unan Pogosyan, the first deputy chief of the Police of Armenia, as saying.
Pogosyan has also refuted the rumours that on the day of the murder six other soldiers escaped from the 102nd Russian military base.
Let us remind you that Alexander Bastrykin, the chairman of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), promised, during his visit to Armenia on January 19, that the trial of Permyakov will be held in Armenia and will be public, but it will be run by the Military Court of Russia.
