In Armenia, three persons are successors of Avetisyan family
In the murder case of the Avetisyan family in Gyumri, three persons, all of them being relatives of the assassinated family, are recognized as successors of the suffered party.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 26 relatives of the Avetisyan family appealed to law enforcement bodies of Armenia asking to ensure their safety.
Under the Code of Criminal Procedure of Armenia, close relatives may be recognized to be successors of the victims, "if they have expressed a desire to execute the victims' rights and obligations in the course of criminal proceeding." Thus, three relatives of the Avetisyan family have been recognized to be successors in the Gyumri murder case, said the Investigating Committee (IC) of Armenia.
About 30 lawyers of the Shirak Region have expressed their willingness to represent the interests of Avetisyans' relatives. In their turn, law enforcement bodies "have already taken the necessary steps to protect relatives of the Avetisyan family," said the spokesman of the Police of Armenia.
Investigators also continue examining the version that Valery Permyakov, who is accused of committing the murder in Gyumri, could have accomplices.
