Two suspected militants' helpers to stand trial in Dagestan
The case of two residents of Makhachkala, accused of involvement in the armed underground and aiding militants, has been sent to the court.
As reported by the Investigating Department for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), according to investigators, in May 2013, in Makhachkala, one of the defendants used his car for secretly transporting Makhmud Aliev, a member of the "Makhachkala" armed grouping (according to power agents, Makhmud Aliev, appointed on January 15 to be Amir of Makhachkala militants, was killed during the special operation conducted on January 18, 2014, in the village of Semender near Makhachkala, – note of the "Caucasian Knot"), from a safe flat to meet with another member of the grouping. In early 2014, the other defendant joined the "Makhachkala" grouping and fulfilled militants' orders, in particular, provide them with foodstuffs.
The criminal case has been sent, together with the confirmed indictment, to the court.
