Magomed Gadjiev sees charges in Dagestan
The charges of making and storing firearms has been presented to Magomed Gadjiev, a resident of the Dagestani village of Novokuli, who had been earlier checked for involvement in the murder of the football player of "Anji-2" club Gasan Magomedov.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Magomedov's car was shelled on January 3, after which the young man died in hospital. On January 19, a law enforcement source said that Magomed Gadjiev was detained as a suspect of committing the crime. However, a later check showed that Gadjiev had nothing to do with the murder.
Gadjiev is kept in SIZO (pre-trial prison); so far, his custody term is defined as one month.
The murder of the football player caused a broad resonance in the republic, said Gadjimurad Sagitov, the editor-in-chief of the republic's weekly "Novoe Delo".
"Unfortunately, murders are not uncommon in the world of sports. However, a player of the football team has been killed for the first time in our republic, as far as I remember," said Sagitov.
As noted by Mairbek Agaev, the editor-in-chief of the weekly "Chernovik", not only the murder of Magomedov, but also the course of the inquiry into the crime, caused public resonance.
