Protesting entrepreneurs block street in front of Armenian President's residence
Representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, who protest against the amendments to the Law "On Value-Added Tax", blocked the street in front of the residence of the President of Armenia. The crowd of protesters is over 2000 strong, said the organizers of the action.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the morning on Thursday, more than a thousand representatives of small and medium-sized businesses gathered in front of the Armenian Parliament, demanding to meet the country's Prime Minister. However, the latter refused to go out to the rally of entrepreneurs.
The participants of the rally were chanting the demand to cancel the amendments to the above Law "On Value-Added Tax". In their turn, the police are trying to oust the protesters onto the opposite pavement of the residence of the head of Armenia.
In the course of their march to the presidential residence, representatives of small and medium-sized businesses stopped in front of the National Assembly. They appealed to the MPs calling them to express their position on the above law adopted by them. In particular, the protesters said that they need to know "who from among MPs are interested to protect their interests." The protesters also demanded to revise the adopted amendments.
