Chechen refugees seek help

Two former refugees living in the Achkhoy-Martan district of the Chechen Republic turned to the Ingush office of the Information Center of the Society for Russian-Chechen Friendship in Karabulak on May 20. They complained about difficult conditions their families were in.

Malika Ismurzayeva, a native of the village of Zakan-Yurt, which is the Achkhoy-Martan district, asked the human rights activists to help her family get a room in the Achkhoy-Martan temporary accommodation center. Malika Ismurzayeva, a disabled woman of the 1st group, lives with her family in a rented house in Achkhoy-Martan. But Ms Ismurzayeva's family may lose this dwelling in the near future because of the lack of money to pay for it.

Koka Tazuyeva, a pensioner living in a temporary accommodation center in the village of Samashki in the Achkhoy-Martan district, asked the human rights activists help restore her family having 8 members in the database of the Chechen migration service, which would allow them to receive humanitarian aid. According to Ms Tazuyeva, upon her return from Ingushetia, she has made many attempts to enter information about her family in the migration service's database. But all her efforts have produced no result.
