Police detain opponents of Georgian citizens' participation in warfare in Ukraine

Today, in Tbilisi, policemen detained protesters against involvement of Georgian citizens in military actions in Ukraine. An action near the office of the "United National Movement" (UNM) Party was held by activists of the "Free Generation".

Activists of the "Free Generation" were detained after they painted red a banner with inscription "United National Movement".

After detention of five activists, a scuffle broke out of other protesters with policemen, the "InterPressNews" reports.

According to activists of the "Free Generation", their action was held in connection with the fact that UNM members urge Georgian citizens to go to war in Ukraine. "Don't call Georgian warriors to go to die there for you own interests! You call your children to go to war!" the "Georgia-Online" quotes the statement of one of the activists.

So far, UNM members gave no comments on protesters' statements.
