Armenian villager wounded in Karabakh conflict area
This afternoon, Levon Andreasyan, 85, resident of the Armenian village of Movses, Tavush Region, was wounded with a bullet of an Azerbaijani sniper, said Artsrun Ovannisyan, the spokesman for the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Armenia.
According to his story, the villager worked on his land plot, when the sniper shot him. The wounded old man was taken to the regional hospital in the town of Berd.
"Andreasyan's life is out of danger; he was exposed to preliminary examination, after which it was decided to take him to Yerevan," a hospital source told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, adding that the victim was shot in his knee.
So far, no reaction has been reported of the Azerbaijani party to the statement of the Armenia's MoD about the attack on the villager.
Let us remind you that at night on January 29 servicemen of Armenian Army Grisha Otaryan and Surik Movsisyan suffered gunshot wounds near the village of Voskepar, Tavush Region, on the border with Azerbaijan. Currently, their lives are out of danger.
