Rostov air controllers demand to release defendants in case of private jet crash at "Vnukovo" Airport
Today, in Rostov-on-Don, 90 people held a rally in support of the three air traffic controllers of the Moscow "Vnukovo" Airport, who were arrested after the crash of the private jet carrying on the board the head of the French company "Total" in October 2014.
At night of October 21, at the "Vnukovo" Airport, during take-off, a Falcon-50EX private jet collided with snow removal machine and burned. As a result of the private jet crash, three crew members and the only passenger Christophe de Margerie, President of the French oil company "Total", were killed.
"After the first stage of the investigation of the disaster, the commission of the Interstate Aviation Committee has removed all suspicions from air traffic controllers. At present, R. Dunaev and S. Krivsun are under house arrest, and A. Kruglov is in custody at SIZO (pre-trial prison). Russian air traffic controllers do not intend to put up with the arbitrariness of investigating bodies and are willing to use publicly all legal means to defend and protect their arrested colleagues," emphasized Yuri Batagov, the trade union chairman, at the rally.
Yuri Batagov has also reported that starting from January 24, throughout all Russia, air traffic controllers carry out actions under the slogan "Free Innocents" in support of their colleagues from the "Vnukovo" Airport. According to Yuri Batagov, in the coming days, similar rallies will be held in the cities of Krasnodar and Volgograd.
