Law enforcers prepare identikits of attackers on Mosque Imam in Nalchik

In Kabardino-Balkaria, the law enforcement bodies have prepared for publication the identikit images of two persons suspected of beating Anzor Shkhanukov, the imam of "Mansour" Mosque in Nalchik.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the evening on January 31, Anzor Shkhanukov was beaten up near his house by unidentified young men. With numerous bruises and traumas, he was taken to hospital; and after medical examination he was sent to outpatient treatment.

The Spiritual Administration of Muslims (SAM) of Kabardino-Balkaria will provide all possible assistance for the investigation into the crime, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Aslan Gedgafov, the Imam of the Mosque in Nalchik.

"Members of the community will cooperate with law enforcers and will distribute identikits of the attackers. The identikits have already been prepared. The attackers did not hide their faces and acted arrogantly. Anzor saw their faces," said Aslan Gedgafov.

According to the law enforcement bodies, Anzor Shkhanukov was beaten by two persons, the website of the Department for Kabardino-Balkaria of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reports.
