Azerbaijani soldier lost on contact line

In the evening on February 5, in a shootout on the border, a soldier of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan was killed.

A Private Agaev Farid Rufat oglu was heavily wounded; and, in spite of timely medical care, doctors could not save his life, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan has reported.

The "Trend" News Agency reports, referring to the MoD, that the soldier was killed in a shootout with the Armed Forces of Armenia.

The bosses of the MoD have expressed deep condolences to Agaev's relatives and friends, the "News-Azerbaijan" Agency reports.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" wrote that on  February 5, Shekspir Akopyan, a soldier of the NKR's Defence Army, perished in the Karabakh conflict zone. The MoD of the NKR accused Azerbaijani units of the death of the soldier.

Also on February 5, as a result of shelling at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, a 32-year-old woman from the village of Alibeyli, Tovuz District of Azerbaijan, was wounded; and Karmir Akhbyur, 60, a villager from Negrin, Tavush Region of Armenia, was killed.
