KBR resident convicted of aiding militants
Today, the Lesken District Court of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) has sentenced a local resident Ratmir Gazhev to 2 years and 4 months in prison on charges of aiding militants and illegal arms trafficking.
It was established in the course of the trial that since autumn 2013 Gazhev began helping a certain Bogotov, A. Kh., a member of an illegal armed formation (IAF), by secretly transporting him in the KBR and providing his house for Bogotov's secret residence, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed at the Republic's Prosecutor's Office.
The court has also proved that Gazhev accompanied the transportation of warm clothes to KBR's IAF members by bus from Moscow to Nalchik.
As a result, Gazhev was sentenced to 2 years and 4 months in a general security colony.
