SAM of Stavropol Territory offers to launch website for Muslim singles
The Spiritual Administration of Muslims (SAM) of the Stavropol Territory plans to launch a new website, where single Muslims could meet each other. Dating through social networks is not contradictory to the norms of Islam, said the Council of Muftis of Russia.
The website nikah.dumsk.com existed since 2012 and was the only one of its kind; thanks to it, a lot of couples were formed, Ruzanna Danilova, the head of the press service of the SAM of the Stavropol Territory and the editor-in-chief of the project, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
The new dating website for Muslims "will continue the accumulated experience and become a modern communication means for people who want to create a Muslim family," she said.
"We live in an era of globalization, when, in particular, Islamic knowledge is available for Muslims in the World Wide Web. Therefore, the dating through social networks, where both parties do not violate the prohibitions to be observed in communicating and all the basics of Islam and moral etiquette, contain good," said Rushan-Khazrat Abbyasov, the Office Head of the Russian Council of Muftis.
