Sochi court extends custody of Chechen native suspected of robbery by a month
The Adler District Court has granted the investigator's petition to extend the custody of the native of Chechnya Khavazh Temirsultanov, accused of robbing the pensioner Arthur Zadelnikov.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Sochi pensioner Arthur Zadelnikov, a victim of the robbery, stated the accusation in his case had been brought against the innocent native of Chechnya Khavazh Temirsultanov. The pensioner appealed to the Russian president and the head of the Chechen Republic asking to take action in his case. Temirsultanov has been under arrest since December 2014.
Arthur Zadelnikov said at the court session that his testimonies in the protocols on the incident and on the identification had been arbitrarily treated by the investigator against the accused guy and the presented to him for signing.
The lawyer Alexander Boichenko has stated a falsification of the materials of the criminal case by the investigator and submitted the respective applications to the judge, prosecutor and investigator. However, the court did not take them into account.
Investigators are misusing the fact that people – due to their gullibility – come without advocates, do not read what they sign; and then we have such situations, said Boris Tselenko, a Zadelnikov's advocate.
