House offered for resettlement in Sochi is dangerous for residence, tenants state at court
he members of the Usenko family have demanded proofs from the Sochi administration (Mayoralty) that the house offered for their resettlement had been commissioned. Tamara Usenko said at the court session that two persons had perished in the house from gas explosion.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in 2014 the Sochi Mayoralty filed a lawsuit demanding forced resettlement of the Usenko family from the emergency house No. 5 in Esaulenko Street. The family filed a counterclaim against Mayoralty, demanding a larger living area for them. On September 23, 2014, the court granted the Mayoralty's motion and decided to evict the Usenko family into No. 12/18 in Yan Fabricius Street.
However, the family refused to move, arguing that the house had not been duly commissioned.
Judge Irina Klimenko found the family's claim reasonable; and requested a document from the Mayoralty about the commissioning of the house, which was earlier intended for volunteers of the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games.
The next court session is scheduled for February 12.
Let us remind you that about 30 residents of the two dilapidated houses Nos. 5 and 7 in Esaulenko Street in Sochi complained about illegal, in their opinion, resettlement into the house built for Games volunteers. According to tenants, the living area provided to them is insufficient.
