Advocate asks investigators to consider all versions of massacre of Avetisyan family in Gyumri
Yerem Sarkisyan, the advocate for the successors of the Avetisyan family, the members of which were assassinated in Gyumri, has filed a petition on holding additional investigative steps in order to clarify all the circumstances of the crime and establish the true motive thereof.
As an example, Sarkisyan wonders, whether the Russian soldier could be not alone, when committing the mass murder.
"Taking into account the fact that the Permyakov's clothes and his service submachine gun were left at the crime scene, we believe that this version needs to be checked," said in the petition.
The advocate also finds it necessary to clear out whether Permyakov had accidentally entered the house, or the crime had been planned in advance.
Besides, the petition assumes possible motives behind the crime. In particular, Sarkisyan asks to find out whether Permyakov could commit the murder because of his feeling of hostility to the family.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that now the Investigating Committee (IC) of Armenia is verifying the assumption about earlier relationships of the Avetisyan family members with Permyakov. The version that the soldier could know some of his victims earlier was expressed on January 17 by Alexander Amaryan, the head of the Rehabilitation Centre for Victims of Destructive Cults. He suggested that family members "worked in Chita and knew Permyakov long before the crime."
