Court session on Makoev's case in Nalchik rescheduled for February 18
The session of the KBR's SC on the murder case of Alexei Makoev, shot dead in a special operation, has been rescheduled for February 18.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the consideration of the case of Alexei Makoev, who was killed on April 30, 2013, began on November 12, 2014, at the SC of the KBR.
The today's session was not held because of non-appearance of Arsen Makoev, Alexei's father, for health reasons.
At the previous session, the advocate Eva Chanieva filed a motion to submit the exhibits on the case for review of the parties in the trial, including the casualty's car.
On April 30, 2013, on the road section, linking the villages of Khasanya and Gerpegezh in the KBR, law enforcers tried to stop a VAZ car for inspection; however, the driver, as reported by the Investigating Department for the KBR of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), opened fire and was killed by response shooting. The casualty was identified as Alexei Makoev, a resident of Chegem.
The criminal case opened against him under the articles of illegal circulation of firearms and explosives and an attempt on the life of a law enforcer was closed because of the defendant's death. However, Makoev's relatives demanded to hold a judicial inquiry.
