Inspectors from Ukraine look for evidence of Russia's military aid to Ukrainian rebels in Rostov Region
Ukrainian militaries will inspect, jointly with their Russian colleagues, one seventh part of the Rostov Region, planning to find evidence of Russia's military help to the breakaway Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) is conducting, jointly with Ukrainian militaries, an inspection of the Rostov Region with the aim to reveal the scale of military activities in a certain area as defined by the Ukrainian party. The inspection began on February 9 and should end on February 12.
The request for the inspection was sent to the Russian party through the official channels of the OSCE.
Within the inspected region, inspectors shall have the right to freely access military and other defence sites, naval vessels and military aircrafts, except for areas or "sensitive" sites, the access to which is normally banned or restricted, the "Rossiyskaya Gazeta" reports.
Earlier, a number of Russian rights defenders stated the participation of Russian servicemen in the warfare in Ukraine; however, the Russian MoD stated that the information had nothing to do with reality.
