Court finds resident of Dagestan guilty of participating in activities of "Hizb-ut-Tahrir"

A Dagestani court has found Khabib Magomedov, a resident of Buynaksk, guilty of involvement in the "Hizb-ut-Tahrir", the organization banned in Russia and illegal circulation of ammunition.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Magomedov was arrested in September 2014 by the court, suspected that in 2009 he joined a unit of the organization "Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami".

The court has sentenced Magomedov to two years in a general security colony, said Rasul Temirbekov, a senior assistant to the Head of the Investigating Department for Dagestan.
