Novorossiysk Memorial publishes book about victims of political repressions

The Novorossiysk organization Memorial has published a book about victims of political repressions. The book is titled "To All People Whose Fates Are Seen in the Distance". This is a collection of reminiscences about fates of innocent people who were condemned, about hardship they suffered in the camps and special settlements, about the loss of close people, and about the brand of "the enemy of people" which they had to have for many years. This book is about those who suffered in the years of repressions but did not lose courage and achieved rehabilitation.

The book holds not only the reminiscences but also a piece of advice how to register rehabilitation, what documents must be prepared, what agencies one should address, and what legislative acts one can use proving his or her innocence, said Novorossiysk Memorial chairman Gennady Goncharov. Novorossiysk Memorial has assisted in the rehabilitation of approximately 1,600 people.
