Combined Control Commission inspects withdrawal of Georgian forces from South Osetian border

In conformity with the decision made by the Combined Control Commission at the June 2 extraordinary session in Tskhinval, units of the Georgian Interior Ministry's troops that the Georgian side landed in the zone of the Georgian-Osetian conflict on June 31 must be withdrawn from the conflict zone. According to information of the Osetian side, not all armed units have been withdrawn from the zone controlled by peacekeeping forces, some of them have been quartered in the villages situated in the zone of the conflict. That is why co-chairmen of the Combined Control Commission, Mikhail Mayorov for the Russian side, Boris Chochiyev for the South Osetian side and Georgy Khaindrava for the Georgian side, are going for an inspection trip to the mentioned zone on June 4 in order to inspect how the Commission's decision is being executed, reported South Osetian Minister for Special Affairs Boris Chochiyev.
