Residents of Chechnya insist on involvement of Ramzan Kadyrov's motorcade in fatal road traffic accident
In the village of Novogrozny, a mother of four children was hit by a car from the motorcade escorting the Chechen leader. This is stated by local residents, who do not trust the official denial voiced by the authorities.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 1, residents of Chechnya claimed that on June 29, in the village of Novogrozny (Oiskhar), a car of a motorcade hit a local woman, a mother of four children. According to the local residents, the other cars of the motorcade did not stop and also overrode the woman's body.
The Chechen law enforcement agencies claim that the motorcade escorting the Chechen leader is not involved in the road traffic accident in the Gudermes District of Chechnya, which killed a woman of the village of Oiskhar (Novogrozny).
According to the GIBDD (road police), the car which hit the woman was driven by a resident of the Nadterechny District. Officials of the GIBDD have added that "he is now involved in the investigative activities."
Meanwhile, the local residents continue to argue that it is a car from the motorcade escorting the Chechen leader, which was involved in the fatal road traffic accident.
"They often drive through the village at high speed when they go to Khosi-Yurt or to Grozny. At night of June 29, they hit a woman of the village and left the place. They did not even bother to help her or to take her to hospital. The dead woman was a member of a very poor family, and nobody cares about her fate," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Khasan, a resident of the village of Novogrozny.
