No police cordons at avenues of approach to Batumi
Police cordons at the avenues of approach to Batumi have been removed, Edvard Surmanidze co-chairman of the opposition movement Our Adjaria, told thousands of opposition supporters holding a meeting in the center of Batumi. Surmanidze's speech was broadcasted by Rustavi 2 TV channel.
The group of opposition activists that arrived from Tbilisi in the morning and residents from the regions of Khulo and Shuakhevi have joined the protest action in Batumi recently. The people say armed units at the avenues of approach to the city let them pass freely.
