Abashidze will not seek political asylum in Russia

Aslan Abashidze, the resigned head of the Autonomous Republic of Adjaria, arrived in Moscow on May 6 along with his son, Giorgy, and former security minister Soso Alavidze. Representatives of the Adjarian delegation in Moscow assert Aslan Abashidze will not seek political asylum in Moscow. However, it is still a question how long the former head of the Adjarian autonomy will stay in the capital of Russia.

To note, Abashidze's daughter, Diana, lives in Italy with her husband.
