Russian Foreign Ministry dissatisfied with Tbilisi's actions in zone of Georgian-Osetian conflict
The Russian Foreign Ministry rated a new transfer of Georgian Interior Ministry's units to the zone of the Georgian-Osetian conflict as "a gross breach of agreements reached during the meeting of co-chairmen of the Combined Control Commission in Tskhinvali on June 2," reads the statement issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry's information department in connection with Tbilisi's actions in the zone of the Georgian-Osetian conflict.
The units of the Georgian Interior Ministry entered the conflict zone on the night of June 14-15. "The Georgian forces were withdrawn from the conflict zone only after the command of the Peacekeeping Forces had interfered," the ministry pointed out. "The actions of the Georgian side don't promote the cause of normalization of the situation in the zone of the Georgian-Osetian conflict, which is so complicated now," reads the statement.
