Russian peacekeepers to celebrate jubilee
On June 21, ten years will pass since Russian peacekeeping forces were brought in the zone of the Georgian-Osetian conflict.
Under the decision of CIS Peacekeeping Forces Commander Major-General Aleksandr Yevteev, holiday celebrations are taking place in the base camps and in the headquarters from June 17 to June 21. Commanding officers of the Russian Defense Ministry, the Russian Armed Forces' General Staff, top-ranking officials of ministries and departments of the Russian Federation, regional governors, members of the Georgian and Abkhazian governments, and UN representatives in Georgia are invited to attend the celebrations.
