Ingush theologians claim absurdity of accusations voiced by Ramzan Kadyrov
The statements made by Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov against Ingush theologians are absurd, and, meanwhile, such threats are voiced not for the first time, and they are becoming tougher and tougher. This was stated by Isa Tsechoev and Khamzat Chumakov.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 2, at the gathering of followers of Sufi concept of Islam held in Grozny, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov stated that he banned a dialogue with Salafis. Meanwhile, he has voiced criticism against Ingush religious leaders Khamzat Chumakov and Isa Tsechoev and said that in case if they try to preach in Chechnya, "they will face big troubles."
In his interview to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, Khamzat Chumakov, Imam of Nasyr-Kort mosque in Ingushetia, has noted that the Ramzan Kadyrov's statements were made in an insulting manner.
"Such statements can result in destabilization, especially when they are accompanied by threats. Everyone I spoke to thought it was a direct threat. Let's hope that we understood that wrong..." Khamzat Chumakov has said.
When commenting to the statements made by Ramzan Kadyrov, Ingush religious leader Isa Tsechoev has told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that he "never saw in the history of humanity, Islam, Russia and the republics of Chechnya and Ingushetia and never read any more absurd statement."
According to his story, this is not the first time when the threats are addressed against him.
Isa Tsechoev believes that the confrontational rhetoric of Ramzan Kadyrov could be caused by ideological differences only. "Apparently, this is the only reason for that," he has said.
