Human rights organization to seek fulfillment of presidential decree

The Solidarity association of migrant organizations in Stavropol Region has received a letter from the staff of the Stavropol regional government in which the above-mentioned organization is commissioned to consider the address of a 76-year-old displaced woman from Grozny to the president of the Russian Federation. The woman lost her son and husband in the Chechen republic during hostilities in 1996.

The woman lives near Pyatigorsk now. She is a disabled person of the first group. She writes about housing and material hardship her family suffers living in the new place. She also notes that she has not been able to get compensation for her relatives killed in Grozny.

The displace woman has not been given the president's reply, but lawyers of the Pyatigorsk non-governmental organization Faith, Hope and Love, which is a member of the Solidarity association, will help her. This human rights organization has already gained several court victories in similar cases, the Russian Finance Ministry being a defendant.
