Azerbaijan opposition to sue Baku administration
The opposition Union of Pro-Azerbaijan Forces will sue the Baku city administration. Rovshan Akhmedli, Secretary General of the Islamic Party of Azerbaijan, which is in the Union, announced it at a press conference on June 9.
"We have prepared all documents and will submit them to the Sabailsky District Court some day soon," Mr Akhmedli said.
The oppositionists are dissatisfied with the fact that the Baku city administration does not allow them to hold protest actions.
"Let's take our last protest actions, which we held on Saturday, as an example. It was not authorized, the refusal being grounded by "the inexpediency of the holding of such an action." That is why police detained three activists of the Islamic party at once for some time," Mr Akhmedli added.
