Armenian diaspora urges to vote for John Kerry
The Washington office of the Hay Dat Committee, one of the largest lobby organizations of the Armenian diaspora abroad, have urged Armenians living in the United States to give their votes to the candidate for the Democratic Party, John Kerry, in the presidential election, reported the Armenian service of Radio Liberty.
According to the same report, this statement of the Washington office of the Hay Dat Committee is caused by attacks of George Bush's administration against the amendment, proposed by Congressman Adam Schiff, which forbids Turkey to use American help for the purpose of spreading propaganda against the adoption of a resolution on the Genocide.
Senator John Kerry has been a friend of the Armenian community in the United States for over 20 years, Chairman of the Washington office of the Hay Dat Committee, Ken Hachikian, said. Meanwhile, President George Bush's position on problems disturbing for Armenians disappoints more and more.
