Daughter of Boris Nemtsov challenges ICRF's refusal to question General Victor Zolotov

Zhanna Nemtsova has filed an appeal against the refusal of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) to question Victor Zolotov, the head of the National Guard, in the course of the investigation into the murder of her father, politician Boris Nemtsov. This was reported by advocate Vadim Prokhorov.

On November 5, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that that advocates of the Nemtsov family filed to the ICRF a request to summon and question General Victor Zolotov. However, the investigators refused to question him.

"After reviewing the criminal case materials, selected against actual perpetrators of the crime, our confidence of the need for questioning of General Victor Zolotov has only strengthened. However, the investigators have dismissed our request, as usually, without any explanations," stated the advocate as quoted by the "TASS".

According to the advocate, the defence has filed a complaint to the Basmanny Court of Moscow.

In support of his motion, Vadim Prokhorov has attached a resolution issued by General Nikolai Tutevich, the chief of the investigating group, who demands from Victor Zolotov to carry out an official investigation and bring the guilty persons to disciplinary liability. The reason for that step was the fact that at the time of the murder, the defendants, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), were in Moscow on a mission with their service firearms, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
