Yerevan: all police officers released from seized building
Members of the "Constituent Parliament" have set free top-ranking police officers Vardan Yegiazaryan and Valery Osipyan. Thus, all the hostages, held in the seized building of the police regiment in Yerevan are released.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, following the outcome of the negotiations, the members of the opposition "Constituent Parliament", who on July 17 seized the building of the patrol-and-security service of the police regiment, have released two police officers and promised to release the last two hostages after journalists have access to the building. Moreover, in the course of the negotiations, an agreement has been reached that the rebels will be provided with food and that the mobile communication will be restored in the area of the seized buildings.
As of 2:00 p.m. local time (1:00 p.m. Moscow time, the last two hostages, including Vardan Yegiazaryan, Deputy Chief of the Police of Armenia, and Valery Osipyan, Deputy Chief of the Yerevan Police, were released, and no more hostages stayed in the building, the "Pastinfo.am" reports.
The information is also confirmed by an official of the National Security Service of Armenia, as quoted by the "Interfax" at 2:09 p.m.
