In Yerevan, all hostages leave captured building
In Yerevan, physician Norair Tevanyan and nurse Malina Margaryan have left the territory of the police regiment building captured by the opposition. There are no hostages in the building any more.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that since July 17, members of the "Constituent Parliament" supporting the opposition hold the police regiment building in Yerevan. Initially, the rebels held police officers hostage inside the building, and they were released by July 23. On July 27, it became known that members of the ambulance crew, who arrived to assist the rebels, were taken hostage in the captured building. On the same day, one of the physicians was released, and on July 29, another physician was set free.
This morning, Varuzhan Avetisyan, the deputy chairman of the "Constituent Parliament", who stayed inside the captured the building, announced that a physician and a nurse who stayed with the rebels were set free. Varuzhan Avetisyan has stressed that the rebels did not hold Norair Tevanyan and Malina Margaryan hostage.
"They might have left at any moment. Yesterday, our security man noticed that the last two physicians had left the building on their own. God is with them. They are not under the control here," the "Sputnik Armenia" quotes Varuzhan Avetisyan as stating.
