Student from Anapa apologizes for inciting religious hatred
The Kuban police detained a student for provocative posts on Telegram and forced him to apologize in front of a camera.
In his Telegram channel, the 17-year-old young man declared his affiliation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), publishing the cover of some kind of ID with the MIA’s symbols. The student also wrote posts about religion and plans to “organize genocides,” the official Kuban police channel reported.
The law enforcement bodies have discovered that the young man “has no relation to the universities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.” Soon they reported that the teenager was detained and “repented of his actions.”
“I admit my mistake, my guilt, that I insulted all Orthodox Christians, I apologize to everyone,” the young man says in the video.
The young man’s posts contained “provocative statements based on religious and ethnic hatred,” the “Kuban 24” TV Channel reported.
