CTO regime introduced in Dagestani Magaramkent District for fourth time this year

In the Magaramkent District of Dagestan, law enforcers have launched a special operation 20 days after the completion of the previous counterterrorist operation (CTO) in the district.

Earlier, on August 14, the CTO legal regime was introduced in the Magaramkent District within the administrative boundaries of the village of Tagirkent-Kazmalyar, where Alikber Aliskerov, wanted by the law enforcement bodies, was killed.

The earlier aggravation of the situation in the Magaramkent District occurred in April. On April 10, CTO legal regime was introduced, and law enforcers reported on the search for militants. On April 11, the CTO legal regime was lifted.

A week later, the CTO legal regime was introduced again. The National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) did not lift it until August 2.
