CTO legal regime lifted in two districts of Dagestan

Tonight, law enforcers have lifted the counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime, in force since August in the Karabudakhkent and Buynaksk Districts of Dagestan.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 17, the CTO legal regime was introduced in the territory of the Buynaksk District and a part of the Karabudakhkent District. On August 27, the CTO legal regime was introduced within the administrative boundaries of the whole Karabudakhkent District.

According to an officer of the operational headquarters for Dagestan, tonight, the CTO legal regime, introduced in August in two districts of Dagestan, was lifted. "At 7:00 p.m. Moscow time, the CTO legal regime in the Buynaksk and Karabudakhkent Districts was lifted," reported the officer of the operational headquarters for Dagestan as quoted by the RIA "Novosti".

Let us remind you that at night of August 28, in the CTO zone in the Karabudakhkent District, a shootout occurred between law enforcers and suspected militants. The suspects managed to escape.
